It's a Gathering!

Golden Isles Emmaus Community July Gathering

Directions: I-95 to exit 3 (Highway 40). Turn right on Hwy. 40, go to Highway 17 and turn left. Go one block.

Please make plans to attend this Gathering in Kingsland. Our community is well represented in the Kingsland area and we ALL need to support these brothers and sisters by attending a Gathering in their area.

Folks with access to church vans, please make arrangements with your home church folks to carpool or ride in vans/busses so that all that want to can attend. If there is an interest, we can even meet somewhere in the Brunswick area and "caravan" over. Contact Hal if you are interested.

Questions? Call or email Hal at 912-242-6668 or hal_barber@yahoo.com

Part of the Walk to Emmaus experience and one that receives lots of emphasis is the 4th days. How sad would it be if our Walk ended at closing on Sunday afternoon? Being active in reunion groups, attending gatherings, and being a Willing Servant are all aspects of our 4th days that bring us closer to our Savior and the Body of Christ. GET INVOLVED!!

If you have any questions, please call Hal Barber at 912-242-6668.

2nd Update on David Latner, Jr.

Again the ever abundent GRACE of our Lord overflows my cup. It never ceases to amaze me the manner in which our creator gives and gives, even when we know we are not worthy of his love.

Jane and I have just returned from Pensacola were my son David Jr. has been in the hospital since Saturday night/Sunday morning. He did have a heart attack, he did have stints put in and he is recovering. The doctors have told us that he has had sigificant damage to his heart. This morning as Jane and I were visiting him before heading home, they moved him into a room in the step down unit. He still has to wear a monitor for a time but at least he can shower and walk around as much as he wants to.

We shared our thoughts and your prayers, the doctors are doing all they can to get him back on his feet. Most inportantly our Lord has laid his hand on him and allows him to stay with his family. What an AWESOME GOD!!

The seeds of christianity have been planted. Please pray for the water of life to sprout them, and by even more of his grace, I might see the harvest in my lifetime.

Just a note, if you smoke please quit. If you think you are too young to be effected by an incident like this you are not (my son is 38). If you know someone that needs to hear these words please pass this information on. But most important of all ; Give the GLORY to the one who deserves it.

Jane and I Love you all and covent your continued prayers.

Be Blessed, David & Jane

My dear friend, US Army Colonel Stacy Coleman of Jackson, Mississippi, was killed in a tragic motorcycle accident on Friday, June 15. Colonel Colonel was on his motorcycle enroute to the US Army War College in Pennsylvania, when he was struck by a vehicle. Colonel Coleman recently returned to the U.S. from the war in Afghanistan. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Coleman, and two young sons.

Please pray that God will give Stacy's family and many dear friends the peace they need during this tragic loss. To Him be the Glory!!!

Prayer Request for David Latner, Jr.

David & Jane Latner's son, David, Jr., in Pensacola, FL, had emergency surgery early yesterday morning after being admitted to the hospital with chest pains. He required 3 stents and was told he had severe damage to his heart and it was operating at only about 40%.

Very early sometime this morning he again had to have emergency surgery and had 2 more stents inserted. He is in a lot of pain.

David and Jane are with him in Pensacola. This is a young man in his 30's with a wife and 2 daughters. Please pray for his recovery and for comfort and peace for the family. David & Jane have been very active in the emmaus community and we love them dearly.

In God's love,
Bill & Jeanie Hoffman, Walk #64 and 65
